RGC Set for Sale

RGC are set for their first home pre-season game of the season when they take on Sale FC at Stadiwm CSM Saturday. 3pm KO.

The fixture is free admission for all, and Head Coach Ceri Jones is looking forward to getting his side out on the new 3G pitch.

“We trained on it this week, and the general feedback is that it feels a quick pitch and we expect this one to increase the ball in play time and we have based our training around this.  Hopefully, this will lead to some expansive rugby,”

The visitors finished 3rd in the English National 1 League last season, so will offer a strong test as RGC prepare for the Indigo Group Premiership start in September.

Last weekend saw the Senior Academy win against London Welsh at Caernarfon with a number of young players impressing,

With a few injuries in the squad, there is an opportunity for some new faces to impress Ceri Jones and the coaching staff over the next few weeks including the game vs Sale.

“The players have trained hard in the past couple of months, and now it’s over to them to put a marker down for our opening Premiership game against Cardiff next month”

Season Tickets and the new Oxen merchandise range will be on sale this Saturday, plus the Wales game will be shown in the Fanzone after the RGC fixture ends.
