After the opening 3 Super Rygbi Cymru games at home, where RGC have picked up 2 wins – the Gogs head to Pontypool Park on Saturday where they face last weeks visitors to North Wales, Pontypool.
Sam Williams knows the challenge that awaits, as they look to continue the winning form
“After 3 games we wanted to see where we were at and be able to judge our performances. So getting 2 wins from 3 is definitely a positive, so for us pushing on as we sit on 2 wins on the bounce is the next challenge.
Winning on the road isn’t easy, and it is a strange one to be facing the team we beat last week again so quickly. That said it will be a completely different game, and they will be looking to get that win and stop us from doing the double.
As for ourselves, last week had plenty of attacking highlights but we know we need to tighten up defensively and manage the game better at key times.
We have talked as a group about improving game on game, and you can see that from pre-season into the league and if we do that again this week then we will give ourselves a chance”
