RGC will be looking for back-to-back wins as they head to Newport on Saturday (5.30pm). Danny Cross has played every game so far this season, and he knows the challenge of backing up last weekend's victory will be a tough one. Newport are on a six-game winning run and top the Indigo Group Cup East. They won the reverse fixture at Parc Eirias back in October with a 27-15 result.
"It's a strange one, as we know we can play better and we have played better in previous games...but we got the win on Saturday. which is the most important thing. That's the big plus we need to build on, and take that to Newport Saturday. Ceri and the coaches have set the challenge to pick up as many points in the remaining game in the cup, so we build on last week. Winning can become a habit, so getting into that mindset and building some momentum is the next task for us. Newport clearly have that momentum and they are the form team so we will need to up our performance if we are to come back with a win on Saturday."
