RGC head back to Stadiwm Zip World on Friday night for another Scrum V live game. After beating Ponty on the road, it is a chance for RGC to make it a t.v double, this time against Champions Merthyr
Scrum-half Cam Davies came of the bench last week and claimed a try that set up an impressive 2nd half display and is expecting an even tougher game on Friday
"We know they’re a big set so it’s going to be important to put them on the floor. It’ll be a tough challenge but we’ve been working hard and we’re up for the challenge of starting a new unbeaten record at Stadiwm Zip World and it would be nice to start it against Merthyr. It will be a great atmosphere with the Friday Night Lights, and I am sure the supporters will come in numbers to push us on from the stands. I know it is a cliche but it is about focusing on the 80 minutes of rugby, when you look back at the Ebbw Vale game we performed in the opeing 40 minutes and took our foot off the second half, which cost us. Last week we got stronger as the game went on, and I know Mark (Jones) wants us to put in a complete 80 minute performance. If we are even slightly off our best Merthyr will punish us."
