The former Cardiff, Exeter and London Welsh hooker was at Cross Keys as forwards coach, but headed north this week to bolster the coaching staff.
Born in St Asaph the 39-year-old also had the Head Coach of Bristol club Old Redcliffians on his C.V, along with Head Of Rugby at Filton College.
“I’m absolutely buzzing to be joining RGC. Having grown up in Rhyl and my own rugby journey starting at Rhyl Rugby Club, idolising my big brother watching him play for Rhyl and North Wales back in the late 80’s and 90’s, I couldn’t of think of a better way of giving something back than coaching and developing the next generation of players at RGC.
When the opportunity came up I couldn’t say yes fast enough, I’d like to thank my previous club Cross Keys RFC for understanding the position I was in and well wishes I received from them. I’d like to wish Morgan Stoddard and the rest of the club the best for the remainder of the season.
My first couple of days at RGC have been fantastic and I can’t wait for the weekend against Cardiff. The players have prepared very well and I’ve been impressed with them all.”
