RGC travel south for their final away game of the season, facing unbeaten Newport on Sunday.
It is one of 3 games for the Gogs in April with the remaining fixtures at Eirias – Pontypridd April 9th and Aberavon April 30th.
The Black and Ambers, league leaders and also in the Premiership Cup final, after beating Cardiff last weekend.
This will be the Gogs second trip to Spytty Stadium, after they picked up a win back in November in the Cup fixture. That win ended a 6-game unbeaten run for Newport at the time, so RGC again will be looking for another impressive result.
Afon Bagshaw knows the game will be tough, but the aim is to finish April as strong as possible
“Performance-wise we have been inconsistent this season, and we have 3 games remaining with this one being the last away game. As a group, we want to get the 3 wins and make sure we finish as high as possible in the league.
The fact we beat Newport in the cup, and they are top of the league means they will be looking to get that victory but as a group of players, we have set ourselves the goal of ending the season with strong performances.
After that rest week. It’s busy week with 2 games in 6 days -Newport, before its home to play Pontypridd so we will have a quicker turnaround for the squad”
