RGC Performance Manager Josh Leach is delighted to see Owain Evans selected for the Wales U20s development side this weekend.
“We are all obviously thrilled by Owain’s selection for the Wales U20's development side who are playing their Scottish counterparts this weekend in Edinburgh. His selection is testimony to the hard work he has put in both on and off the field at St David’s College and as part of the RGC Academy over the last couple of years. We wish him all the best!”
The 18-year-old who is at St David’s College has been impressing the National Age Grade Coaches, as they look towards the Six Nations U20s Championship which starts In January, with home games played at Parc Eirias.
It would be the first time a St David’s pupil has ever been called to play for Wales, and the college's Director of Sport Dan Lycett is extremely proud of Owain’s achievements
“Owain is walking on water at the moment. He’s a very intelligent player with the way he manipulates the ball. He’s fantastic off the pitch excelling academically, the world is very much his oyster.”
