Castell Howell Foods Partnership

6 Mar 2025

RGC is delighted to announce a new partnership with Castell Howell Foods. The independent, family-run food service wholesaler has officially joined forces with both RGC and Parc Eirias, marking an exciting collaboration for all parties involved.

“We are delighted to have partnered with Castell Howell, and it was great to see them hosting their Big Food Exhibition at our home of Stadiwm CSM earlier this week” said RGC General Manager, Alun Pritchard. “We appreciate the commitment they have made to RGC in recent years, which in turn helps support local businesses, and look forward to continuing this positive relationship in the future.”

Haydn Pugh, Sales and Marketing Director, a local from North Wales and originally from Flint, commented:

"At Castell Howell, we take immense pride in our partnership with RGC. As a Welsh business, we fully appreciate the crucial role that RGC and grassroots rugby clubs across the whole of North Wales play in developing the next generation of players, a cause we are deeply passionate about supporting.

As a proud family business and as a proud North Walian, we recognise that our support for RGC extends far beyond the pitch. It also positively impacts local businesses we supply, as supporters gather to cheer on the team and visit nearby establishments. This not only highlights the fantastic food and drink on offer but also brings added vibrancy to the local economy of Colwyn Bay and its surrounding areas, something we truly value.

Our vision is to ensure that everyone, from rugby fans to local businesses, feels the benefit of our involvement, making a meaningful and lasting impact on the community we hold so dear."

Parc Eirias hosted Castell Howells's two-day Big Food Exhibition, which had over a hundred suppliers and thousands of products being sampled along with live cooking demonstrations, it was the biggest event in terms of numbers attending, Haydn Pugh, Sales and Marketing Director commented:

“We've had an amazing week in North Wales, and as a proud North Walian, born and raised in Flint, this means so much to me. This has been our biggest show to date—made possible by our incredible customers.

We fully understand the challenges our customers face, especially with what 2025 brings. For us, these shows aren’t about breaking record sales, far from it,  they’re about providing real support to our valued customers, by showcasing cost-effective high-quality products and solutions that can truly help—whether they are put on the menu in four weeks, four months, or even a year from now, providing support and saving them money is what truly matters.”
