RGC will wear the new OXEN Sports Home Kit for the first time tomorrow when they run out at Merthyr. Inspired by the banner of Owain Glyndwr, with its 4 lions symbolising his claim to royal lineage it certainly lends itself to the culture of the region.
General Manager, Alun Pritchard was full of enthusiasm for the new kit: “Owain Glyndwr is synonymous with the defence of North Wales from those that have tried to invade over the years, and RGC 1404 will continue that tradition in our new kit. With its armoured scales and badges of all clubs from throughout the region we aim to stand up for and represent the 1 million people living here.
Our players have been heavily involved in the design process and are proud to be able to carry on the rituals of those that have passed before them. We feel that a kit should mean something to its supporters and hope that this one does just that!”
The replica shirts will be available to purchase at our first home fixture of the season against Newport on Saturday 2nd October as well as online.
