U16s: Set For Ospreys on Sunday

U16s: Set For Ospreys on Sunday 31 Jan 2020

RGC Under 16s start the second phase of this season's WRU Age-Grade Competition this Sunday with a home game against the Ospreys East Under 16s. Both sides did well in their games played last Autumn with the Ospreys East team winning 3 and drawing 1 of their first 4 matches whilst RGC won their opening 3 matches before losing by 1 point to the Scarlets West team at St Clears RFC.

The squad have been back training 2 nights a week since the start of the year and Head Coach, Gav Hodgkinson, says he and his fellow coaches have been delighted with the attitude the players have brought with them,

' It seems an awful long time since our last game back in September and there is always a slight concern that with such a long gap between games the players might lose some focus, however if anything they have come back prepared to work harder than ever. It promises to be a tough month with 4 games being played over consecutive Sundays but I have every confidence that we have the strength in depth as a squad to compete in every one of those matches.'

Sundays game is played on the artificial pitch at Eirias Parc and kicks off at 2pm.

Admission is free but there will be a bucket collection prior to the start of the game in aid of St David's Hospice.
