Sheriff’s Biltong and RGC Partner Up

Sheriff’s Biltong and RGC Partner Up 6 Dec 2021

RGC are delighted to partner up with Welsh company Cwm Farm Charcuterie who produce The Sheriff’s Biltong in conjunction with Wales International rugby player Ken Owens. The product will be sold at RGC games and also provided as a high-protein snack for the players as they aim to get leaner for the season ahead. RGC Head Coach Ceri Jones was full of praise for the Biltong saying “Many people think that you should take on board as much protein in one sitting as possible, but the body can’t absorb it and so it’s much better to eat little and often. This Welsh-produced biltong is ideal for that as it allows the body to make maximum use of the protein and is also a very tasty snack!”

"It's a great pleasure to be working with RGC with our range of Sheriffs Biltong. This shows South & North Collaboration at its best, and for us to support players and the development of Welsh Rugby"  added Ruth Davies, owner of Cwm Farm. “This Biltong doesn’t have the preservatives that many others do and is made with locally bred and reared cattle. Only salt and spices are added to give it that 100% authentic flavour”

The partnership came about following discussions between RGC General Manager, Alun Pritchard, and local businesswoman, Cheryl Parry, who owns the Grate Cheese Deli in Colwyn Bay as he explains “We want to partner up with as many Welsh businesses as possible and promote the great produce that we have throughout the country. This is just the start of what we’re looking to achieve and working with people like Ruth and Cheryl shows that these partnerships do work and can be beneficial for both parties’.
