Llandovery Preview

Llandovery Preview 18 Oct 2023

RGC travel south 144 miles to  Llandovery for our local game in the Indigo Group Premiership

Current champions Drovers sit in 2nd place having only lost one game, against league leaders Ebbw Vale last week in front of the S4C cameras.

Head to Head Llandovery have been on a good run against the Gogs, with our last win in October 2018, since then the Drovers have won 6 games on the bounce.

RGC will be looking to end that streak, and make it back-to-back wins this season after the victory against Swansea last Saturday in which the played 55 minutes with 14 men,

Dan Owen - "Delighted to get the win last week, we didn't make it easy for ourselves or the fans after that good start to the game.  That said, it was a bonus point win and we need to take that to Llandovery.  We talk about building momentum and have the win to push on now.  It is a tough 8-week game block every Saturday, and Llandovery away is a tough one.

Leading up to last week we really focused on our own game, and what we needed to do and it's the same this week.  If we perform to our best, and make sure we are accurate in attack and solid in defence then we will give ourselves a chance.

A few boys are coming back from injury, so the fight for starting places is increasing - so you can see in training we are pushing each other.

Llandovery is our closest game, and we always have a vocal away support and hopefully, we can give them plenty to cheer about."
