After an entertaining first run out of the season, RGC play the return game against Caldy at Eirias on Friday. 7.30pm.
Josh Leach was delighted to see the players back out on the field "It was a real pleasure to see the team playing again on Friday night, and to see so many supporters we haven't seen in so long travel to watch. Considering it was our first run out in 18 months, and the number of young players making a first appearance we were pretty happy with the performance on the whole.
Our defence was pretty solid in open play, despite Caldy throwing plenty at us in the first 20 minutes. And we managed to build a bit of continuity in attack. We expected our set-piece game to be hit and miss because we haven't had any specialist coaching in that area, but that will become a big focus in the coming weeks.
As much as anything we were really pleased to see how some of the youngsters stepped up the pace of the game in the last 20 mins and created a handful of scoring chances.
With Caldy returning to Parc Eirias this coming Friday for our first home fixture, it will be really interesting to see how both sides adapt over the course of the week."
Tickets will be on sale at the gate on matchday.
