Back on the road

Back on the road 22 Sep 2022

RGC are back in Indigo  Group Premiership action Saturday, as they face Ebbw Vale.

The Steelmen have had an unbeaten start to the season, with a league win against Newport and they followed that up with another victory in the Cup against Carmarthen Quins last weekend.

The Gogs will be looking to put the first win on the board after they lost on the opening weekend at Merthyr at the start of September

Efan Jones  is expecting another tough clash at Eugene Park

"We have now got a chance to build some momentum, with a run of games. It's again been a strange start to the season, with a game then a 2 week break, so we need to put in performance away at Ebbw Vale to set us up for a good run. It's never an easy place to go play at, to get anything we will need to do a job ourselves and have that focus for the 80 minutes

It's important we cut down the errors and penalty count which cost us against Merthyr and gave them some easy attacking opportunities by the time we play Cardiff at home on October 8th, we will have had 3 away games, (Llanelli is on October 1st) so points on the board are so important if we want to be competing in the top 4."

The last time the teams played RGC ran out 27-11 winners in March. With tries from Rhys Tudor, Jordan Scott and Dion Jones.
