4 RGC Age Grade players have been selected for the Wales 18s Training Camps in North Wales and Scotland.
Louis Williams and Ethan Say (Mold RFC)
Owen Parry and Celt Ffransis Roberts (Llangefni RFC)
The squad will have 3 days of training at Parc Eirias, and then head up to Scotland to train and play against Scotland and Italy U18s. It will be an early opportunity for this year's U18 players to show how they have progressed through preseason and to stake a claim for a place in the Six Nations squad come the new year
U18s Head Coach Saul Nelson
“We are extremely proud of these young men, who have trained hard over the end of last season and continued into pre-season with a positive effort.
As a group, we have made sure the younger players celebrated the call-ups, as they have also been part of the development as well.
It is fantastic for RGC and for the clubs, and the players are proud of that with Celt and Owen – Llangefni and Louis and Ethan – Mold.
Also, we must give credit to the parents who give a huge amount of time and support as well, and we are all proud to see them representing the region.
They now have a chance to put down a marker at the training camp here in North Wales, before heading to Scotland to play a couple of games. With the 6 Nations to come, this is an opportunity for them to put RGC on the map in terms of age-grade players.”
