Wales 20s Tickets Onsale 16 Dec 2021

Wales U20 Six Nations tickets now on sale!

Match tickets for Wales U20s three home 2022 Six Nations Championship fixtures at Parc Eirias are now on public sale, online at www.venuecymru.co.uk

The next generation of Welsh stars will make a welcome return to Colwyn Bay when they host Scotland on Friday February 11 in the second round of the championship, having begun their campaign a week earlier in Ireland.

Byron Hayward’s side will then travel to face England before concluding their championship on home soil against France on Thursday 10 March in round four and against Italy in the final round on Sunday 20 March.

Seated tickets are £15 for adults and £5 for under 17 concessions. Standing tickets are £10 for adults and £5 under 17 concessions. All tickets bought via Venue Cymru are covered by a Covid Guarantee / refund policy.

With today’s announcement that tickets are now on sale, the Wales squad are hoping it is a step closer towards life returning to some form of normality after seeing the two previous seasons being decimated by the global pandemic.

“Getting back to a traditional Six Nations campaign is really big for us,” said WRU Performance Talent and Pathway Manager, Andy Lloyd.

“We’re really looking forward to getting back up to North Wales so the boys can show what they can do. Obviously, we had the Six Nations in lockdown in Cardiff which was an entirely different experience, so it is going to be really nice to get back into a proper routine.

“We’ve had great support up there in the past, there are some really good facilities in Colwyn Bay – in the past even when it’s been pouring down, they’ve come out to support us which is great for the boys and with three tough home games coming up, it is a great challenge for our U20s.

“The fact tickets are going on sale is one step closer for us getting up to north Wales and getting back to a normal routine.

“For us, it’s been great to plan for, we’ve had a few camps so we’re starting to ramp up our preparations for the championship and just seeing the tickets go on sale is a great step towards getting back to some degree of normality.”

Cardiff Rugby back row Alex Mann led Wales U20 with distinction during the summer’s Six Nations on his home patch, but he can’t wait to step out on to the pitch in Colwyn Bay in front of a passionate crowd – something he and his teammates have missed out on in recent times.

“It’s an exciting tournament for us, the boys have been working hard in training and it will be nice to have crowds back because most of us haven’t played in front of a crowd for a good while now so that is something for us to look forward too,” he said.

“The fact you’re playing for your country brings you through but there’s a massive difference when there is a crowd behind you. When you have to dig in and you hear the crowd encouraging you, it can make a massive difference in games.”

Wales U20 finished their summer Six Nations campaign on a high note with a victory against Scotland and Mann is confident that with a big crowd behind them, Wales can go on to bigger and better things.

“The competition in June was a massive learning curve for the boys – a lot hadn’t played much rugby up until then but it was a real eye opener but with that experience under our belts hopefully we can do better this year with a big crowd behind us in North Wales,” said Mann.

Cllr Louise Emery, Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Leisure, added: “We’re delighted to welcome the Six Nations U20s back to Eirias again, so that rugby fans in North Wales can enjoy exciting fixtures on their doorstep.

“We have a great facility at Parc Eirias, and hosting events and activities is a key part of our programme to stimulate regeneration, attract investment, boost local business and support business stability in the region.”
