Wales 20s Call-Ups

Patrick Nelson (RGC Senior Academy | Rhyl & District RFC) and Owain Evans (RGC Senior Academy | Llangefni RFC) have been selected to train in the wider Wales U20s squad. 

They are currently in the middle of a 6-day training camp at the National Centre of Excellence, which finishes with a friendly fixture against Scotland on Saturday at Cardiff Arms Park (11.30am kick off).

The camp's purpose is to identify which players will go on to make the final U20 Six Nations Squad.

Both Patrick and Owain are first year out of Under 18s, and have featured for RGC on numerous occasions in the  Indigo Group Premiership this season.

RGC Performance Manager Josh Leach " They have both shown a lot of potential since they first entered the RGC Pathway at Under 15s, and have continued to train hard and progress. The players have been on the National radar for a while now, and this is another exciting opportunity for them to go up against the best age-grade players in the country. 

Everyone at RGC is very proud of how far they've come to date, but know that both lads are ambitious, and will be doing everything to earn their place in the final squad. We would love nothing more than to see them running out for Wales at CSM Stadium in front of their family and friends."
