RGC have given Christian Hone his first start for the Premiership team, with a selection that sees Sam Earl-Jones move to fullback. Another new name to the squad is James Andrew

The scrum-half was a part of the RGC under 18s programme in 2018/19. Having missed out  on selection into the RGC Senior programme at the time, James has been studying, training and playing for RGC Academic partner Bangor University, as well as Bangor RFC s 

Performance Manager Josh Leach praised the players' work which has led to his return "James has clearly been training hard over the past couple of years, and played a key role as Captain in Bangor University’s BUCS promotion. Having stood out on numerous occasions for the university side, we invited him to join the RGC Senior Academy group in January, . James is great example of players who bounce back following non-selection. His resilience and his want to get better and better has seen him improve significantly."
