RGC Ready For Cup 2 Jan 2019

RGC away against Newport

RGC start their National Cup campaign against Newport of Saturday (6.30pm at Cardiff Arms Park)

The 2016 cup winners face last years finalist in the 1st Round.

Both sides have faced each other in the Principality Premiership this season, with the Black and Ambers winning 15-8 at Stadwim ZipWorld

RGC and Newport ended 2018 with wins, with RGC beating Bridgend Ravens and Newport victors against a Cross Keys side that featured 2 former RGC players Llywarch Ap Myrddin and Jacob Botica.

Full-back Dion Jones “Whether it is in the league or the cup we need to build some consistency in our performances and results. 2018 was a bit stop/start for us, so we are looking to put down a marker for the start of the year. I know the cup brings back some good memories for many in the team and the supporters, and we have a chance to get a cup run going.  It will be a tough one for us, playing last years finalist and I am sure they will be looking to go one step further this time.  The added incentive will be playing under the shadows of the Principality Stadium with the game being held at the Arms Park"
