Pre-Season: New Faces Settling In

Pre-Season: New Faces Settling In 1 Aug 2018

With Pre-season training in full swing we caught up with a couple of the new faces in the squad.

Billy McBryde joined from Llanelli and the former Wales 20s and 7s fly-half has settled already -“There’s a great bunch of boys and coaching staff up here, and that makes a huge difference when joining up with any team…which is a big plus.”
“Pre-season has been tough, and Gaz (S&C) has been putting us through our paces. The hard work is starting to build nicely towards the first game of the season which everyone is looking forward to. The foundations of the way we want to play are in place and it’s an exciting season ahead for us as a group”

Joel Ringer is another signing who is enjoying life in North Wales -“I’m settling in nicely to the new surroundings and RGC have been very helpful with sorting things out for me. The coaches and players have been very kind and the area is a great place to be based. The other big positive is the facilities we have at our disposal, and we are lucky to be able to train here.”
“I’m really enjoying pre-season so far, and for a prop on the larger side of the scale - it’s one of the most important parts of my season...establishing a base of fitness and improving every week. The strength and conditioning staff and medical team here are extremely professional and leave no stone unturned. With regards to the rugby side of things, I had heard before hand that the coaches pay close attention to detail. We started from the very basics of the game and for me, it’s been invaluable to correct a few bad habits I perhaps had gotten myself into. I’m honestly learning at least one new thing every day in training from the coaches and the players which will only help me raise my game. I’m really looking forward to us starting our campaign and hopefully having a really good season to give our great and loyal fans plenty to cheer about.”
