Need to Be at Our Best at Bridgend

RGC have not had as much success as they would have liked on recent visits to the Brewery Field, so will be looking to address that when they start the cup campaign away to Bridgend on Saturday.

Last season it was the Ravens that claimed a 40-25 win back in March, and in current form, they have played 3 league games and won 2.
The Gogs Cup run ended in the semi-final last season, so the aim is to go one better this time around.

Centre Delwyn Jones is looking to build on the teams performance from last week.

“We have been dealt a fair few injuries, so the team has definitely got a younger feel to it and the boys are learning really quickly at the moment.  Last week we were in the game versus Newport and you could see the improvement but a lack of composure at key times probably cost us.  The big plus was the fact we were in the game, and we just need to keep on learning, adapting and putting that into the next 80 minutes."

"Last season the cup run gave us plenty to look forward to as the season progressed, so we start it all over again and we know this one will be a challenge.  We have been punished by below-par performance at Bridgend in the past, so we know we need to be at our best to get anything from the game and that’s on us to do."
