HERE COME THE X-MEN

HERE COME THE X-MEN 7 Sep 2018

This Saturday, RGC will take to the field in the new 2018/19 home kit when they travel South to take on Swansea RFC.

RGC have partnered up with Official Kit Partner XBlades who are the industry leading manufacturer and retailer of rugby clothing and equipment working with some of the biggest rugby brands worldwide.

The new home and away RGC kit will be rolled out across all of the RGC squads including seniors, U18s, U16s, U15s, women and U18s girls, ensuring that the RGC brand is consistent throughout the RGC and North Wales Rugby Development Region representative set-up.

XBLades CEO Lee Jenkinson commented on the partnership saying “As a brand, we take immense pride in watching our clubs run out each year in their new playing strips. As a company who base our products on athletic feedback, we not only ensure that our clubs are wearing the highest performance technical apparel, but they also look good doing it! In conjunction with Sion and the team at RGC, we’ve been able to design a jersey that I believe is not only aesthetically pleasing but importantly to the club and region, incorporates a piece of all 32 community clubs in North Wales and the club partners. We realised how passionate RGC were about continuing to strengthen the links to the clubs and community within the region so we are delighted we could play a part in bringing that to life in the 2018/19 jersey. Working with RGC, it’s clear to see that not only are they a forward-thinking club, but they are one that has the region at the heart of many of their decisions. We look forward watching the team play some great rugby and wish Mark and his team all the best for the 2018/19 season.”

The new kit for 2018/19 features key academic partners Coleg Cambria, Bangor University and Grwp Llandrillo in recognition for the support they off the Rugby Academy and Age Grade programmes.

Sion Jones, General Manager for North Wales Development Region and RGC said “The new on and off field kit has been well received by players, coaches, staff, partners and sponsors, and we now look forward to rolling out the retail apparel lines over the coming weeks. 2018/19 is a very important year for RGC and the North Wales Rugby Region and this is reflected in the new kit line. XBlades have proven that they truly understand us, they have an abundance of sport, rugby and retail expertise which will play a big part in how we continue to develop the brand over the coming weeks and months. To ensure RGC retains a strong connection with our North Wales clubs and communities, we have continued to include the names and badges of all 32 North Wales clubs as we recognise that without them, RGC wouldn’t exist.”
