Christmas Message from the GM

Christmas Message from the GM 24 Dec 2021

It’s fair to say that this has been a challenging season so far with a moveable feast of fixtures, Covid raising its ugly head and events like Storm Anwen thrown in for good measure. Fixture postponements are frustrating for all involved and we are looking into what can be done to prevent some of these happening in the future.

However, all that said, after starting slowly the team has improved under the guidance of Ceri and the rest of the coaching team. A good batch of new young North Walians have made their mark, we are on the verge of the cup quarter-finals and there are a whole host of games still to be played which gives us ample time to make our mark on the league.

In the New Year we will be upgrading the fanzone with heating and hopefully a permanent TV and Sound system meaning that it will be suitable for a variety of uses. We will also be looking to enhance the matchday experience, encouraging more people to attend and ramping up the atmosphere another octane.

Away from Parc Eirias I must also say a big thank you to those that continue to follow us no matter what the weather or how far the distance. This support is fully appreciated by all, and I would urge more people to use the supporters club coach as a great way to bond with other fans and come and support the boys.

Having the Wales u20’s return in February and March is a big thumb’s up for the region and it would be great to see as many of you at the games as possible. I’m hoping that there may even be one or two of our own out there for you to see!

On a personal level I couldn't have asked for more support from all involved and I would like to thank each and every one of you that has made me feel welcome and given me as much information as possible to help RGC move forwards.

From myself, and the rest of the team we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Diolch yn fawr iawn,

Alun Pritchard

Mae’n deg i ddweud mae’r tymor wedi bod yn un heriol hyd yn hyn gyda gêmau yn cael eu gorhirio, materion achosir gan Covid ac yna storm Arwen yn ychwanegu i’r problemau. Mae’n siomedig i bawb pan mae gêmau yn cael eu gorhirio, ac rydyn yn edrych i fewn i’r hyn y gellir ei wneud i atal hyn digwydd yn y dyfodol

Fodd bynnag, er i’r tîm dechrau y tymor yn araf, wrth i’r wythnosau mynd ymlaen, mae’r tîm wedi gwella o dan arweiniaeth Ceri a gweddill y tîm hyfforddi.  Mae gr┼Áp ifanc newydd o Gogs wedi gwneud eu marc, rydyn ni ar drothwy gêmau wyth olaf y cwpan, ac mae yna llawer mwy o gêmau i ddod i wneud argraff ar yr Uwch-Gynghrair

Yn y flwyddyn newydd byddwn ni yn uwchraddio y ‘Fanzone’ gan ychwanegu gwresogyddion ac hefyd gobeithiwn gallwn gael teledu parhaol a system sain.  Fydd hyn yn golygu gallwn ddefnyddio y ‘Fanzone’ am amrywiaeth o weithgareddau.  Rydyn ni am wella eich profiad ar ddydd y gêm trwy annog fwy o bobl i fynychu a greu awyrgylch unigryw.

Hoffwn hefyd dweud diolch yn fawr i’r rhai sy’n parhau i ddilyn ni beth bynnag yw’r pellter a beth bynnag yw’r tywydd.  Mae pawb yn werthfawrogi y cefnogaeth ac rwyn annog i fwy o bobl i ddefnyddio bws y clwb cefnogwyr i gwrdd a chefnogwyr eraill a chefnogi y bechgyn oddi-cartref

Mae’r cyhoeddiad bod Cymru dan20 yn dod yn ôl i Barc Eirias ym misoedd Chwefror a Mawrth yn hwb mawr i’r rhanbarth ac fe fydd yn wych i weld mor cymaint ohonoch chi ag sy’n phosib yn mynychu’r gêmau.  Rwyn gobeithio bydd un neu ddau o chwaraewyr ein hunain mas ar y maes i chi gael wylio.

Ar nodyn personol, ni allaf wedi gofyn am fwy o gefnogaeth gan bawb, ac hoffwn diolch pob un ohonoch am fy nghroesawu a rhoi cymaint o wybodaeth i mi ag sy’n bosib i helpu Rygbi Gogledd Cymru symud ymlaen

Oddiwrthaf I, a weddill y tîm, dymunwn Nadolig Llawen a Blwyddyn Newydd Dda i chi gyd

Diolch yn fawr iawn
