Ceri Jones: We Gave Ourselves A Chance and Took It 20 Nov 2021

Head Coach Ceri Jones heaped huge praise on his players after they put in a massive shift to win at Eugene Park for the first time "We kept ourselves in the game, and that was the difference.  We are a team that creates chances, so we had to make sure we were in a position to win the game right to the end.  We are a team that can deal with adversity now, and with the red card, we adapted well. It also showed how the boys respect Tom Hughes as captain, as they made sure they dug in and put a huge effort in after he left the field.

Effort wise we have to talk about the pack, we went to a 7 man scrum and still shifted the Ebbw Vale pack.  I could list all the players and the performances tonight but Billy McQueeney showed what we are all about.  He has now played 2 games away and we have picked up 2 wins, and this is a player from North Wales who has come in in the past few weeks to train with us fully.

Winning games is never easy, and this one definitely wasn't but the fact we dug in and showed that composure in the final minutes is something we can all be pleased about as a group"

RGC now face Pontypridd on Saturday 27th November, 2.30 pm at Parc Eirias.
