Ceri Jones: Home Momentum

14 Nov 2022

RGC will be looking to continue the winning form when they face Aberavon on Saturday at Stadiwm CSM 3.30pm.

The bonus point win against Swansea was the final away trip of 2022 and Ceri Jones side can now look forward to 5 home games straight.

Speaking after the All Whites win the RGC Head Coach believes his side can push on and build on the last few results.

“We got what we came here for on Saturday, and in the 1st half we showed energy and accuracy as well as some strong defending.

Looking back at when we brought on the replacements, it was probably my fault for bringing them all on at the same time, as we lost a bit of momentum and allowed Swansea back in.

It’s a lesson for the boys coming on though, that even if the game is in our control with points on the board if you don’t get up to speed quickly then things change.  For us we need to be ruthless and keep our foot on that peddle to make sure we don’t give teams an opportunity to get back into a game.

We have a chance to push on with 5 home games til the end of the year, including a cup game and a semi-final if we win.  As a group we will focus and drive the standards and if we apply ourselves to our best then I am in no doubt we will progress up the league.”
