Bagshaw: Focusing on what we do

Bagshaw: Focusing on what we do 10 Nov 2023

RGC are looking to carry on the home wins, when they face Carmarthen Quins on Saturday 11th November. 2.30pm

Captain Afon Bagshaw made his return from injury in the victory against Aberavon and is keen to keep the momentum going

"Over the last 3 weeks, we have changed our focus even more on ourselves, to ensure we are better each time we take the field for training or matches.

Considering the injury list we have had early on, it has been great to see so many young players getting exposure the likes of Celt Ffransis-Roberts, Charlie Probert, Caio Parry. It's not only big for their development but also their chances for Wales 20's are enhanced from the exposure to Premiership rugby.

Looking forward to this weekend we have a big challenge up front from Quins so we need to focus on our own set piece and get that right and impose our game onto them and get our process right.  The weather looks good, we have the new pitch so it's set to be a great game."

Saturday 11th November, will be an ‘Armed Forces Event’ with a variety of stands from the Army on-site and free entry offered to all current and veteran armed forces personnel with the production of serving ID cards, veteran’s badges or defence discount card.

As well as an army field hospital and SV vehicle there will also be displays from 3 Royal Welsh, Army Cadets and the Army Officer Cadets linked into Bangor University. Separately, members of the Army Reserve Rugby Team will be on hand to support our pre-match engagement with local rugby clubs.

Army Royal Logistics Corp will also be in attendance, plus the Armed Forces Charity SSAFA

We will also look to remember those who lost their lives in the line of duty.

RGC are proud to support our armed forces and hope to welcome many of you to do the same on the day.
